Tell us how you're travelling, and we'll tell you how to get here...
First things first. It will probably be easier if we tell you the Hall's address:
38-76 Sussex Gardens
We're opposite the Monkey Puzzle pub, and there is a zebra-crossing just outside. We're at the first zebra crossing from Edgware Road end of Sussex Gardens.
If coming in from the M4/West you need to head up to Bayswater Road, past the Shell Garage and follow the road around the Lancaster London Hotel. Bear left, avoiding the traffic lights, and take the last exit off the roundabout, onto Sussex Gardens. .
Arriving from the M1/Edgware Road North-to-South, you must turn left (East) on to the A501 and then right on to Old Marleybone Road because there is no right turn at the Edgware Road/Sussex Gardens junction. Turning East after this point will take you into the congestion charging zone.
Leave via the front entrance on Praed Street (not from the canal entrance where the Hammersmith and City and Circle lines come out). Head North-East up Praed Street and drop down on to the next main road (Sussex Gardens) either by winding through the backstreets, or by going South-East on Sale Place. Wilson is on the North side of Sussex Gardens, between Southwick Street and Sale Place.
You can take the Heathrow Express (fast and expensive), Heathrow Connect (fast-ish and expensive-ish) from Heathrow's Central train station to Paddington, or the Piccadilly tube line (slow, but cheap) to Central London and change to Circle/District to take you to Paddington. Then follow the directions from Paddington.
We would advise against a taxi - it will be very expensive!
Walking through Hyde Park is the easiest option; using paths either north of the Albert Memorial, to the Italian Gardens and then up Sussex Gardens, or along the main road, West Carriage Drive and cutting through the Hyde Park Estate.
If you're on a bike, you will have to use the road as bikes aren't allowed on many pedestrian paths in the park.
If it's raining, the 414 Bus goes from South Kensington station to Edgware Road.
Wilson House is nearly equidistant between Paddington, Edgware Road and Lancaster Gate tube stations. Beware though: Edgware Road has two stations; the Bakerloo line is split from the Circle, District and Hammersmith and City lines.
